Traffic Issues - it’s 30 for a reason
January 1st, 2007 by Administrator
As readers of the newsletter will know, speeding in the area has long been a serious concern, particularly in respect to the safety of our children, young people and dog walkers. However, there are also other road related problems, for example traffic cutting through between the A52 and A46.
We are planning to get a group together to see what measures can be taken to make our local roads safer for drivers and pedestrians alike and we want to hear from you regarding any concerns you have – be they specific to a particular junction or more general. From your feedback we hope to have a view on issues for the whole area which will enable us to see what improvements can be made. We have been offered use of ‘It’s 30 for a reason’ signs by the Tollerton residents’ road/traffic group, which some of you may have seen. We are therefore looking for anyone who would be willing to put one of these signs in their garden for a period of time, (they must be placed on private property), so if you are willing to do this please let the committee know. We are also looking for volunteers to join the action group, (hopefully representatives from different areas of the development), so please also let us know if you can spare just a few hours from time to time to help out.
Please email any comments or concerns you have to the USRA committee
We can only do this if people tell us what they think, so please respond to have your say in your community!
